Diny Warren Fabric Artist Diny Warren has been involved with Fibre Art for many years. Her experiences include Spinning, Weaving, knitting and Dyeing. Dyeing has been an natural step for many artists when not being able to find the suitable colour for a project. Once Diny opened that door she found the path to using Indigo to create different blues too difficult to resist. Dyeing with natural Indigo has been an ancient worldwide practice. It is completely different from other dye methods. The various processes that can be used-are numerous and fascinating. The learning of it all can never be exhausted even if your vat might. Hope you will be able to come and enjoy “ For the Love of Indigo” | Micaela Fitzsimmons Fabric Artist Micaela Fitzsimmons is a textile artist and printmaker. Her pieces combine various printmaking techniques, hand-dyed and commercial fabrics and stitched texture, incorporating ambiguous silhouettes and abstracted landscapes to create images that are, at the same time, familiar and mysterious. With a long background in design and fine arts, she has worked as Manager of Exhibits & Collections at the Stratford Perth Museum since 2009. A member of quilt and beading guilds, she also volunteered for several years as Artistic Director with the Ailsa Craig Quilt Festival. |
