Punch Needle Rug Hooking: Beginners Workshop

Often described as 'instant gratification", punch needle is a fun and addictive method of rug hooking! In this workshop, students will create a pretty punched trivet that can be used as a chair pad, wall hanging or to decorate a pillow or bag. With nearly 20 different patterns and a gorgeous array of mill run and hand dyed wool yarns to choose from everyone will have the chance to make the design their own. We'll cover topics such as design, colour planning, how to use a punch needle, plus special tricks and techniques and finishing- all the basics with the teacher helping you step-by-step. By the end of class most students should have  a solid foundation in punching to be confident in making other fabulous projects. Punch needles may be borrowed during class time and purchased after if students wish.

Cost: Members  $95

Cost Non Members $115

Kit Fee: Payable to Instructor on day of Class $85

(Note kit includes all materials including hand dyed wools, use of the punch needle for the day and the frame, backing materials and finishing materials.)
