Is there anything nicer than slipping into a pair of custom fitted, comfortable and cozy shearling slippers on a cold winter's night? We think not and so are delighted to welcome Kasper Skinner to the ACAC to teach this beginner friendly craft. Enjoy the fellowship of other craftspeople and create a pair of slippers for yourself or as a gift.
In this class, you’ll learn to hand-stitch the components needed to make a pair of luxurious slippers out of shearling sheepskin. Shearling is sheepskin tanned with the wool still attached, after the sheep has been sheared so that the wool is a consistent length. Slippers like these are great for keeping your feet snug and warm, and are a great all-natural alternative to synthetic slippers. These slippers will be cut to your size, so they’ll fit you snugly. No leatherworking or stitching experience is needed for this class, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner!
Students are to bring their own lunch. There are local shops where lunch may be procured.
Students must specify their show size, Men or women's size, colour preference - between black and brown.
