Funky Felted Jewelry with Linda Armstrong

The Ailsa Craig Arts Centre is pleased to welcome felted fibre artist Linda Armstrong, back to teach Funky Felted Jewelry.

These necklaces make stunning, statement pieces.

Students will create one adjustable felted merino beaded necklace by incorporating flat merino prefelt beads and round roving beads. Felting techniques learned within this workshop, can be applied to a variety of other home decor projects and wearables.

Students will be given the opportunity to choose their three wool colours upon registration for the workshop’.

There will be a materials fee of 35$ paid directly to the instructor on the day of the class.

Students are asked to bring to class:

-Needle nose pliers

- Sharp scissors

- tape measure

-  LARGE EYE tapestry needle to thread 1.5 mm leather cording thru beads

-  3 old towels ( 2 small/1 large)

-  a 1-2 litre water container

- a bagged lunch

Optional - a rotary cutter and rotary cutting mat

Best to bring comfortable clothing. Felting requires strong hands to manipulate fibres.#@#_WA_-_CURSOR_-_POINT_#@#
