LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER FOR THIS FUN CLASS

Visible Mending is Fun, Frugal and Fulfilling!

Suitable class for any sewing level, any age (well 10+ years)

In this class you will learn how to give those comfortable or sentimental old favourites in your closet, first aid by adding pizazz or functionality through visible mending.  Mending is in danger of becoming a lost art yet for Adèle and other practioners of VM it is a great opportunity to design and stitch new character into favoured old clothing or articles that might otherwise have ended up in the trash. Adèle Cork will  guide you through hand stitching, patching and applique techniques that allow you to apply as much, or little colour and flair as you prefer.  You can work on your own treasures or learn the process through samples and apply at your leisure at home.

Visible mending is a meditative and relaxing art form that we're sure you will enjoy.

One full day session 10am to 4pm

Bring your own items to enhance and Adèle will have samples to share as well as swatches for practice.

Students are to bring to class:

Bring a favourite piece of clothing or linen to repair. Blue jeans are a perfect choice, for example. Preferably not a knit but, we could manage. I will have some pieces of denim that can be used to learn and save for future reference.

Also,

Sewing needles

A thimble, if you use one, can be very helpful with thicker fabric like denim.

Embroidery floss in colours of your choice.

Fabric scraps -- I will have some to share.

Sharp scissors.

Notepad and pen.

I will have some supplies available.
