Due to the high demand for this course we have asked Theresa if she will teach another session (or two) to ensure that everyone who is interested, gets a chance to experience this beautiful, traditional craft.

Nothing brings forth the memories of summer days spent rambling in the woods more vividly than the soft, clean aroma of a pine needle basket. Surprisingly resilient, you will find many uses for these moth resistant little baskets. Theresa English will once again, share her love of wild crafting with her students in this one day class.

In this class, you will learn the basic steps to make a coiled pine needle basket. You will be using locally and ethically gathered pine needles (no trees were harmed in the preparation for this class). Baskets are stitched with waxed thread or artificial sinew. No previous basket making experience is necessary

Kit Fee $20  Payable on the day of the class which includes everything you need to make your basket. Pine needles, waxed thread, artificial sinew and needle.

What you need to bring:

Scissors

Lunch (Bring your own lunch or order ahead from The Crown & Turtle Pub on Main St.

The Cloverleaf across the street, from the ACAC sells sandwiches and salads.)

Bring a sense of humour and a willingness to learn new skills.
