Guided by fibre artist Carolyn Parks, Learn To Paint With Wool!  is an all-day workshop which will introduce you to the unique process of wet felting with the goal of creating a piece of art that you will feel proud to display! No experience is required for you to  jump into this art form.

With her engaging and and encouraging hands-on style, Carolyn will have you loving wool more than you ever expected. As a happy start to this day, you will enjoy your choice of specialty loose tea and a delicious, freshly baked scone while Carolyn encourages group introductions.

By the end of this workshop, you will have gained an understanding of:

- what felting entails and what is needed re: materials

- how to design a piece of art using wool and other special fibres

- basic art principles (light, depth, perspective, colour, composition) and how they relate to working specifically with wool fibres

- how the wet felting technique works

You will leave with your own piece of artwork (approximately 14” x 16”), along with a small foam pad and felting needle for continued work at home if you desire (to be explained in class).

Carolyn’s main goals for you during this day are simple: Create Art. Have Fun!

Supplies participants must bring include: a bath towel (not for themselves! ;)), a lunch (there is a pub and a grocery store in town), bottle of water.
