Cover a bottle with basket weaving techniques, using a vegetable fiber known as "sea grass", on rattan piles. Student can customize the bottle by applying different weaving points and material combinations, mixing cord and rattan.

Kit Fee: $25                             No sewing machine

SUPPLY LIST FOR STUDENTS:

• Pruning scissors or oblique cut pliers in good condition. (Scissors can be used, but NOT your fabric scissors!)
• 2 Glass bottles of various shapes. You may want to trade for another shape.

Kit includes:

• Roll of sea grass rope of 3-4 mm
• 200 grams of rattan

The Workshop will supply some extra glass bottles, and containers for soaking wicker rods.
