The use of the transparencies in textile works brings aesthetic and artistic qualities that cannot be achieved with other types of fabrics. Silk adds is own properties: natural fabric, shiny, can be dyed easily at home to get their own color palettes.

We will work with silk, organza, cheesecloth, hankies, decorative threads and hank. We will transform surfaces to create new fabrics with which to develop artistic works, clothing and accessories. We will play with overlays and transparencies to create subtle shades and glazes, layering, and two ways to create fabrics that bring us closer to contemporary lace.

These techniques can be applied to a fabric base to make quilts or bags, or without a base to emphasize the play of transparencies, such as pojagi quilts, clothing, accessories, curtains and lamps.
