Instructor: MARIÑA REGUEIRO

Continuous bobbin lace consists of a background mesh that support a diversity of artistic expressions. Laces are classified by their grounds in the same way that plants are classified by their flowers. Potatoes, eggplants and tomatoes are from Solanaceae family; Chantilly, Blonde and Bucks Point Lace belong to the Tul Point Ground family. Meshes are distinct for each type of lace.

Traditional and contemporary TUL GROUND will
be made to a large-scale using T-shit yarn, to teach the basic movements of lace to beginners. The invisible stitching called Point de Racroc will be taught to join two pieces of Tul together.
The samplers made can be used for home decoration and for fashion.
