Learn the basic techniques of painting on silk, and take home this completed piece that can be attached to a canvas or use the finished piece in a number of different ways,  think throw pillow, scarf etc.

A native of Hong Kong, Arale has been painting on silk since 2009. Since relocating in 2016, she has been promoting silk painting in the London area. Arale’s work has been displayed in over a dozen countries, and has been featured in print publications, TV interviews, art symposia and charity events.

Arale is a self-taught artist inspired by the challenges of capturing the aesthetics of complex subjects through the unique medium of silk. The evolution of her artistic themes has been greatly influenced by her multicultural experience and location. Popular for painting veiled Arabic ladies in Qatar, she now paints a variety of local-driven inspirations, such as floral pieces.

Driven to improve her craft, Arale enjoys sharing her knowledge of the medium though offering classes for both beginners and and experienced silk painters.
