Finger knitting is an easy , creative activity that can quickly turn into a hobby.  It is a form of knitting where the knitted cord is created using only hands and fingers instead of kitting needles.  By learning a few repeatable steps, anyone whether they are 6 or 96 can learn to create their own scarves, cowls, blankets and many other projects using nothing but your own hands and a ball of year.

This class does not require any knitting experience.  In less than 2 hours, we will take you step-by-step to learn the basic movements of knitting your own project.  The instructor will use photos, video and hands-on coaching to instruct students.  Showing the basic moves in the first 60 minutes of class and the remaining 30 minutes for questions and troubleshooting.  Students will knit their own funky infinity cowl.

One #6 super bulky yarn will be provided to you at class in Mauve, Yellow, Blue or Smoke.  Mega Tweed is the p[perfect yarn for knitting or crocheting trendy, bulky hats, cowls and scarves.  The soft acrylic yarn with natural tweed flecks adds interest to every project.

Cost:  $20 for members, $25 for non members.

Material Fee:  $8.00 per person, payable in class

Registration Deadline:  December 23, 2018

Dave Fitzsimmons opened Miiru Trading in 2018 as a brand spanking newcomer to the crafting and textile industries.  Miiru was created with the intent to take the strengths of small town communities into how it does business and leverage David's experience in Asian countries to do the work that he wants to see more of in the world:

  • open the North American marketplace to small suppliers in developing nations and;
  • run workshops, classes and events that create a little bit more novelty to the world!
