                                                                 In this workshop, Asdis will take you through the basics of using watercolor pencils on fabric.  She will show you techniques and effects you can achieve in this very simple process. Hand embroidery will be stitched after the block is coloured.

Asdis will bring designs for you to select from, or you may bring your own image or design to work from.

Materials to Bring

-       Cotton fabric (offwhite ) 8“x 12“  (Scraps for applequie Fliso fix) Free choice

-       Fusible web (light-weight for applique scraps)

-     Cotton iron-on stabilizer

-     DMC Embroidery thread
-     Basic sewing kit: Scissors, Needles, etc

-     Embroidery ring  (optional)

     watercolour pencils (Derwent preferred)


  

Ásdís Finnadóttir holds a B.Ed. that specalises in textiles. She worked as an elementary teacher for ten years and has taught many textile courses over that time. Textile and crafts have been a hobby of hers for decades and has become more than just a hobby over the last few years.
