Design, Sketching & Painting for Art Quilts

• Half-day course (3 hours)
• Level of experience: All levels
• Max # of participants: 10
• No sewing machine required.

This course focuses on developing the free expression and creation of your own original artwork. The starting point is your own landscape or nature photograph. Through sketches and painting, you will explore shapes, colors, patterns and texture, both abstract and figurative.
The result will be sketches and drafts for you own original textile art.

•   sketching book A4 (8 ½ x 11) approximately
  
• a few sheets of tracing papers - pre cut to A4 (8 ½ x 11)
• a few sheets of standard graph paper pre cut to A4 ( 8 ½ x 11)
• Pencils, ruler
• scissors for paper
• watercolour paints and/or water soluble pencils and/or crayons)
• paintbrushes
• 2-3 plastic cups for cleaning brushes
